Marie L. Semmler

Mrs. Semmler was a member of Christ United Church of Christ. She loved to garden, travel, and was an avid St Louis Cardinals fan. She enjoyed going to amusement parks and swimming with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Eleanor, nee Heller, Haas; a son, Dennis Michael Semmler; and three brothers Kenneth, Edward, and Oliver Haas.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 62 years, Donald Semmler, of Fairview Heights, Ill.; her daughters, Debra Ford, of Fairview Heights and Donna (Patrick C.) Smoker, of Freeburg, Ill.; her grandchildren, Joseph and Ryan Ford, Beth (Tom) Heppermann, and Patrick M.(Tiffany) Smoker; three great grandchildren, Benjamin, Tenley, and Henry; her brothers, Milton, Floyd, and Kermit (Mary Lee) Haas; sisters, Helen Weiss and Shirley Fenner; a sister-in-law, Ann Haas; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
