

Marilyn was a jewel to all who knew and loved her. She married the love of her life on May 31, 1954, Aloys Zinck, and to this union bought one daughter, Barb. Marilyn worked as a bakery quality control specialist at Imb’s Mill for over twenty years until her retirement. Bowling was one of her favorite past times. She enjoyed working on puzzles, crosswords, and traveling. Some of her favorite places to travel were Las Vegas, Branson, and Tunica. Marilyn was a fan of sports, especially being fond of the St Louis Cardinals. She was a loving mom, grandma, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend who will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Aloys Zinck; her parents, Edwin A. and Mildred Gladys Daesch, nee Gantner; her sister, Rita Appel; her brothers, Edwin Daesch, Loraine Daesch, and RayDean Daesch.
Surviving her are her loving daughter; Barb (Mark) Fiore; her loving grandchildren Anna Fiore and Nicholas Fiore; her brother, Ronnie (Lucy) Daesch; her sister, Sandy “Tootsie” (Paul) Monroe, her brother in law, Robert Appel, her sister-in-law Sandy Daesch; close family friends, Jennifer, Michelle, Greg, Kelly, and Karen; and her furry companion Kori, and a number of dear brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials are appreciated to Family Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation: Friends may call from 11 am to 1 pm, Monday, January 2, 2017, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Funeral Services: Funeral Services will be held immediately following the visitation at 1:00 pm Monday, January 2, 2017, Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens.
