

Mary Ann Kinnard (nee Clark), 81, of Caseyville, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving children and comforted by her faith in Jesus Christ. With the support of Hospice of Southern Illinois, she concluded a life well-lived.
Born January 6, 1944, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to John Clark Sr. and Mary Alice (Marshall) Clark, Mary Ann was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Gladys McCoy; and her brother, John Clark Jr.
Mary Ann dedicated her career to public service, retiring as office manager for the City of Washington Park. Her contributions extended beyond her administrative role, including serving as Secretary of the Police and Fire Board Pension and as a part-time telecommunications expert for the police department. Her commitment to community extended beyond her professional life; she selflessly volunteered her time as a leader in the Parents and Friends Club at St. Martin of Tours, a Girl Scout Troop Leader, a Boy Scout Den Mother, and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Women of the Moose. She was baptized on September 20th, 2009, and attended Discovery Church in Collinsville, Illinois where she volunteered in the nursery.
Mary Ann’s vibrant personality shone through in her numerous hobbies. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, embracing adventures through travel, camping, and float trips to her beloved Indian Springs campground. Bowling and bingo were also among her favorite pastimes.
She is survived by her loving children: Jacquelyn (Kinnard) Menard and husband Robert Menard, Jr. of Columbia, Illinois; Guenlen Lavon Kinnard Jr. and wife Stephanie Kinnard of Fairmont City, Illinois; Keith Kinnard and wife Tiffany Kinnard of Richmond Hill, Georgia; and Thomas Kinnard Sr. and significant other Patty Cadell of Caseyville, Illinois. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished grandchildren: Thomas Kinnard Jr., Alyssa Vick, Robert Menard III, Chase Menard, Keith Jacob Kinnard, Rachel Hewitt, Abigail Kinnard, Keegan Kinnard, and Olivia Kinnard; and great-grandchildren: Grace, Hunter, Lydia, and Clara. She is also survived by her siblings, David Clark Sr. of Carlinville, Illinois, and Sharon (Clark) Robke of O’Fallon, Illinois. Her in-laws Ben and Virginia Campbell of Collinsville, IL, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mary Ann was a generous soul, a consistent annual donor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
The visitation for Mary Ann will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 11:00am – 12:00pm at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, Illinois 62208.
