May F. Jenks

Mrs. Jenks was a very active member in her church, the United Church of God & International Association. She was a member of the Red Hat Club, Quincy, Ill. and the Officers’ Wives Club, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. She was an avid writer and especially enjoyed reading the bible. She was a wonderful cook, loved traveling, gardening, flowers, and the outdoors. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Augusta, nee Glueck, Fredericks; her loving husband, Ret. Maj., USAF, Kenneth Jenks; a brother, Roy Fredericks; and two sisters, Dorothy Lauer and Eugenia Zeilman.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Roger (Lynn) Jenks, of Belleville, Illinois; a grandson, Jason Jenks, of Belleville, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at Noon, Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Vince Szymkowiak officiating. Interment will be held privately in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
