Mildred Joyce Tidwell

Mildred J. Tidwell, nee Crone, 82 of Belleville, Illinois, formerly of Fairview Heights, Illinois, born February 19, 1933 in Sikeston, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Progress West Hospital in O’Fallon, Missouri after a long illness.

She was a homemaker and a terrific cook. Mildred was also a former brownie troop leader for her daughters. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, and a beloved grandma and great grandma. She loved her family and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Densmore and Ziller, nee Vangilder, Crone, two brothers; Donald and Dick Crone, five sisters; Louise Box, Gladys Boyd, Bondell Voliva, Wanda Martin, and Regina Johnson, infant grandsons, Gabriel and Jeremy Tidwell and an infant granddaughter, Cherity Tidwell.

Surviving is her husband of 66 years, Wade Tidwell, whom she married on March 12, 1949, three daughters; Shelia (Steve) Frazier of Foristell, Missouri and Valerie (Dave) Baxmeyer of Waterloo, Illinois, and Cindy (Steve Lingelbach) Geller of Belleville, Illinois, a son, Jerry (Melba) Tidwell of Fairview Heights, Illinois, nine grandchildren; Tabitha (Mario) Cerna, Tara Frazier, Jordan Geller, Rachel Geller, Erynn Baxmeyer, Kirsten Baxmeyer, Paige Baxmeyer, Skylar Baxmeyer, and Andrew Tidwell, two great grandchildren; Joaquin and Julian Cerna, a brother Mitchel Crone, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Interment will be Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
