Nadene Dowdy

Nadene was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roxana, Roxana, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Dowdy who died on September 9, 2006; her parents, William B. & Louise, nee Davidson, Palmer; her brothers, Gilbert (Velma) Palmer, Oscar Palmer and Ewell (Iva) Palmer; and three sisters, Lillie (Clois) Cook, Alma (George ) Shaw and Opal (Melvin) Bruce.

Surviving are her four children, Paul S. (Marian) Dowdy, Donald L. (Barbara) Dowdy, Bill Dowdy and Kathleen (Michael) Schafer; 11 Grandchildren, 2 Step-Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Vernie Dowdy and loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the donor’s choice.

Visitation: Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Lake View Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Kurrelmeyer and Pastor Roy Gibbs officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
