"Louise" was preceded in death by both her parents, Floyd and Viola Edwards, her husbands: Aaron I. Hollon and Edward M Stoeckel, and her sister, Mary Catherine McBride.
Those left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Danee (Robert) Appel, Sisters Shirley Ann Hawkins, Joyce Gaylene (Roger) Davis, and Gwen (Bill) VanDerhoef, Grandchildren: Jadyn S. Appel (Killian DeLuca), and Cheyenne R. Appel, and many other dear family members and friends.
In her early years, Louise showed a creative spirit and a willingness to work hard. In grade school, she painted backdrops and made costumes for school plays, and while growing up on the farm, she also milked the cows—experiences that reflected both her artistic gifts and her steady, capable nature.
Louise built a life marked by skill and dedication. She worked as a seamstress, interior designer, and painter, bringing beauty and care into everything she touched. A career highlight came when she served as the lead designer of an 80 million dollar mansion at Table Rock Lake, a testament to her talent, vision, and diligent work ethic.
She unselfishly donated her time and talents to refurbish and decorate dozens of homes for friends and families in need.
Louise loved to entertain and welcome others into her home, where she was known for setting a lovely tablescape to match the theme of each event. She also baked cakes for family and friends to celebrate their most important life moments—weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays—offering her time and gifts in a way that made others feel truly cherished.
Among her greatest joys was her sweet schnauzer, Isaac, who was the love of her life and a constant companion.
A faithful presence in her community, Louise was a long-time attendee of Belleville First Assembly of God Church, where she was very involved in children’s ministries. She was also an attendee of St. Mathews Church in Belleville. Her faith was central to her life; she devoutly read the Bible and memorized passages that held special meaning and guidance for her.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her care team, Teresia, Yong, Judy, Linda, Cheryl and Lauri, who took diligent and loving care of her.
Louise was adventurous, beloved, cherished, compassionate, devoted, faithful, generous, gentle, hard-working, honest, inspirational, kind-hearted, loyal, patient, resilient, selfless, thoughtful, and wise, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
