

Mr. Ripperda proudly served his country in the United States Army, and was a member of the American Legion Post 252, in Breese, Illinois. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ann Ripperda, nee Kapp; his parents, Henry and Cecelia, nee Bach, Ripperda; brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Larry, and Alfred Ripperda, and a brother in infancy, Richard Ripperda.
Surviving are his children, Diane (Ron) Smith, of Lebanon, Illinois, Karen (John) Holcomb, of Taneyville, Missouri, Janice (Keith) Berkbuegler, of Swansea, Illinois, and Duane (Margaret) Ripperda, of Arkansas City, Kansas; his grandchildren, Paul (Jenna) Hayhurst, Grant Hayhurst, Kenneth Holcomb, Brad (Kelly) Moose, Sandra Neuwirth, Mary Beth Berkbuegler, Elizabeth Ripperda, and Sarah Ripperda; great grandchildren, Alexis, Cameron, Austin, Isabel, and Vivian; a brother, Arthur Ripperda; a sister, Bernice Kuhl; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, Illinois with Father Ray Schultz officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
