

Ray worked for Dow Chemical for many years as an inspector. He was a past member of the St. Clair Lodge No. 24 A.F. & A.M. He was a member of the Intercontinental Church of God. He enjoyed Biblical history and studying Egyptian archeology. He enjoyed the outdoors; gardening, chopping wood, and was an avid bird watcher. He could fix just about anything and enjoyed carpentry, in fact, built his home and the home next door. He loved all animals, especially his dog, a West Highland white terrier, “Pooh”. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd S. and Anna, nee Hart, Graf.
Surviving are his loving wife of 73 years, Alice B. Graf, nee Rice, of Belleville, Illinois; his daughters, Rebecca Graf and Angela (Clifton) Pierce, both of Belleville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Rachael Butz, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Maren (Rich) Fouts, of Olney, Maryland, Molly (Christopher) Baker of San Antonio, Texas, Joshua Houseworth, and Zachary Houseworth, both of Benton, Illinois; and his great grandchildren, Medorah, Alean, Raymond, Rayanne, Allyson, Sydney, Ava, Aden, Emma, and Isaac.

Funeral: Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor John Ringenbach officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
