Mr. Yates was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 27 years, Margie Yates; and his parents, Preston E. and Mary, nee Stuck, Yates.
He is survived by a daughter, Kristin (Chad) Patterson of St. Roberts, MO; a son, Daniel (Tracy) Yates of Belleville, Ill.; 3 grandchildren, Kali Patterson, Brylee Patterson, and Raelynn Patterson; 6 brothers, Preston Yates, Jr., William Yates, Ronald Yates, Ricky Yates, Gregory Yates, and Charles Yates; and a friend, Brian Noltkamper.
