

Mrs. Kern was a homemaker and a member of several card clubs. She was a member of St Paul’s United Church of Christ.
Mrs. Kern was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Kern Jr., her parents, Peter and Anna Cerneka nee Jevsnik; her son, Ronald P. Kern; her daughter-in-law, Dian C. Kern; her grandchildren, Theresa R. Kern and Todd B. Kern; her siblings, Peter Cerneka II, Antonio Cerneka, John Cerneka, Charles Cerneka, Mary Scritchfield and Julia Peters.
Mrs. Kern is survived by her son, Richard A. Kern, of O’Fallon, Illinois; daughter-in-laws, Mary Frances Kern, of Belleville, Illinois and Anna M. “Becky” (Richard W.) Taylor, of Belleville, Illinois; her grandchildren, Michael D. (Susan) Kern, of Belleville, Illinois, Mark A. (Dawn) Kern, of Swansea, Illinois, Mary Margaret “Muffie” Kern (Fiancé Edgar Reed) of Shiloh, Illinois, Julia C. Davis, of Sante Fe, New Mexico, Kelton (Lyndi) Davis, of Waterloo, Illinois, and Rebecca Kern and Amanda Keck, of Millstadt, Illlinois; and her great-grandchildren, Sara Kern and Jessica Kern, of Belleville, Illinois, Lora (Giovani) Romano, of Shiloh, Illinois, Taylor Kern, of Belleville, Illinois, Quincy and Elizabeth Davis, of Waterloo, Illinois and Spencer Keck, of Millstadt, Illinois, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Funeral Service: All services will be held the following day at 10:00 am, Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Lake View Funeral Home. Interment to take place in Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
