Rose E. Pierce

Rose E. "Rosie" Pierce, nee Daenzer, 67, of Belleville, IL, born October 5, 1945, in Belleville, IL, passed away, February 7, 2013, after a nearly 6-year battle with cancer. She was a resident at the Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL.

Rosie enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing bingo. She loved planting flowers and had a deep love for animals. Rosie had been employed at S.A.V.E. She had a special relationship with the adults under her supervision. She was also an in-home caregiver to the elderly, in recent years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Esther, nee Eismann, Daenzer; two brothers, David and Bob; and a sister, Maryann.

Surviving are her children, Robert Carroll, of Fenton, MO, Clifton (Angela) Pierce, of Belleville, IL, and Cari (Josh) Dallas, of O’Fallon, IL; her grandchildren, Lisa and Kristen Carroll; Molly (Chris) Baker, Joshua and Zachary Houseworth, Alex, Madison, Jordyn, and London Dallas, great grandchildren, Rayanne, Allyson, Sydney, and Ava; two brothers, William Daenzer, of Belleville, IL and Jim (Marty) Daenzer, of Fairview Heights, IL; a sister, Lynn (John) Tutza, of Keyesport, IL; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the fantastic staff at Freeburg Care Center, who cared for her.
