Ruth Ann Clayton Barfield

Ruth was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who truly loved taking care of her family. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1117 in Caseyville, Illinois, and loved to swim.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Barfield Sr., her parents; Harmon “Skinny” and Orene, nee Buck, Hillyard, her father, Edward Clayton, a daughter, Karla Knight, a brother, Edward Clayton, and a son-in-law, Donald Cathers.

Surviving are her children; Tina Cathers of Caseyville, Illinois, Kim (Ron) Gaines of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tami (Tim Malick) Kimbrell of Swansea, Illinois, Donald (Mary) Barfield Jr. of Winchester, Illinois, Dawn (Lonnie) Crum of Roodhouse, Illinois, Derrin (Beverly) Barfield of Roodhouse, Illinois, and Eddie and (Lori) Barfield of Collinsville, Illinois, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a brother, Joe (Iris) Hildenbrand of Collinsville, Illinois, other relatives and friends.
