

Sharon Ann Fender, 78, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at her daughter's home in Freeburg, IL. She was born in East St. Louis, IL, on November 18, 1946, to Charles and Martha Johnson.
Sharon worked for many years as a bank teller before retiring from Regions Bank, formally Union Planter's.
She loved watching scary movies, dining out, quilt bingo, and spending time with family, especially her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by, her parents Charles and Martha Johnson; husband George W. Fender, Sr. whom she married on November 17, 1967; son Stuart V. Fender; grandson Kyle V. Fender; brother Nicholas Johnson; sisters Janet Johnson and Kay White.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Mike) Kennedy; son George (Amanda) Fender, Jr.; grandkids Kaylee (John) Kennedy, Zoey Fender, Jenna (Shane) McDonald, Grant Fender and Addyson Fender; Great grandson Wade Fender. She will be forever loved and deeply missed.

A visitation for Sharon will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208, with a service immediately following.
Sharon will be laid to rest in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery during a private burial.
