BELLEVILLE- Steven Ludgate of Belleville, Illinois passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13th, 2019 at 10:00 P.M. at his home in Belleville. Steven was born on November 7, 1956 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Edmond and Barbara (née Carter) Ludgate.
He enjoyed his many years with his family, and loved his children dearly. Steven was a kind and easy going soul, who enjoyed fishing, music, and trying his luck on the slots. Steven enjoyed the company of his children and grandchildren in his free time. Steven will be dearly missed by all his friends and family.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents Edmond and Barbara (née Carter) Ludgate.
He is survived by his son Steven Ludgate II, his daughter Kelly Krakosky (Robert Hays), his brothers Robert Ludgate (Nancy Stone) and Douglas Ludgate, his former wife Jody Ludgate (Larry Morber), his grandchildren, Eli Hays, Mikayla Hays, his niece, Katie Keck (Chris), nephews, Bobby Ludgate, Matt Ludgate (Meagan), Michael Ludgate (Brooke), and many great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Lake View Funeral Home on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 P.M.
The Ludgate family wishes to extend their gratitude to the many family and friends who supported Steven and them. Steven will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
