Steven Edward Sobieralski

Steve was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carole Jean, his parents Steve & Jennie, his in-laws Walter & Irene Beyer, brother Charles Swan, brother-in-law John Frawley, Walter and Mike Beyer, sister-in-law Edna Binns, Joni and Terry Swan, Karen Haynes and Phyllis Tilk and Bobbi Irvin.

He is survived by and dearly loved by his son Steven and his daughter Tracy, his grandchildren Dakota and Cayden, sisters Anna Frawley, Helen (Joseph) Connelly, brother Al (Sharon) Sobieralski, and sister-in-law Gayle Miller.

Steve had many nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends who he loved and who added much joy to his life.

He was a proud 1969 graduate of Assumption High School.

He worked a number of jobs as a teen and then went on to work for the B & O railroad and then Manufacturers railroad until his retirement.

Steve was a long-time member of the E. St. Louis / Shiloh Eagles. He coached a girls softball team. He played on the Whompuscats ball team and formed lifelong friendships along the way.

He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing the slots, and spending time with friends and family. He was proud of his Polish heritage and will be forever loved and missed.

A visitation for Steven will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM. A committal service will follow Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
