Thomas R Prine

Tom was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church, Caseyville, Ill., and retired after 40 years of dedicated service with Ameren, St. Louis, Mo.

Tom enjoyed playing trombone with the orchestra at First Baptist Church, O’Fallon, with the SWIC Jazz Band and the Second Generation Swing Band.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy D. & Beatrice M., nee Shane, Prine; and a brother, Bob (Marge) Prine.

Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Bonnie M., nee Becherer, Prine, whom he married on June 5, 1976; his two daughters, Angie (Dennis) Schmitt and Leah Prine; two grandsons, Trevor & Nathan Schmitt; father- and mother-in-law, Ernie & Agnes Becherer, two sisters-in-law, Karen Burns and Sharen (Mike) Breyer, and loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Lake View Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Evans officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
