Vera Estella Seger Clements

Vera Estella (nee Kohlmeier) Seger Clements, 85, born January 8, 1933 on a farm in Waterloo, IL to the late William and Ella (nee Junge) Kohlmeier Jr., passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 in Belleville, IL.

Vera grew up on the family farm where she developed an intense dedication to her family. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt, IL. Vera always enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing, camping and working in her yard. She was very particular about her home and that trait was passed down to her daughters. Two of her favorite activities were going to the casino and working on puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Vera is preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Seger; second husband; Otto “Clem” Clements; 6 brothers; 2 sisters; step son-in-law Michael Clements; and grandson Steven Voegtle.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, James (Faye) Seger; Glenn (Patty) Seger; Dennis(Rachel) Seger; daughters, Susan (John) Parciak; Judy (Mike) Staub; Diane (Jack) Mikles; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, step children, Douglas (Vickie) Clements; Kathryn (Larry) Prichard; Jenny (Kevin) Shelley; sisters, Mildred Reith; Leona Klein; Florence Lenhardt; step daughter-in-law, Bonnie Clements; sister-in-law Carolyn Kohlmeier; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation: Friends may gather with the family Friday, September 28, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

Service: A funeral Service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Lake View Funeral Home with Pastor Peter Ill officiating.

Memorial contributions in her honor may be donated to Trinity Lutheran Church, Millstadt, IL or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
