

Verlin was born to Walter and Evelyn (nee Zobrist) Weidner on August 8, 1940 in Highland, Illinois.
Verlin was the first auto transmission technician at Walter's Auto Repair with his father, Walter and brother, Darrell, located in Fairview Heights, Illinois. He also served as co-owner of Dak's Bar.
Verlin's hobbies included fishing, hunting, and searching for arrowheads. He was also a Shriner, and member of Shriners International.
Verlin dearly loved his children and family!
Verlin is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Evelyn Weidner; sons: Todd Weidner and Scott Weidner; and brother, Darrell Weidner.
Verlin is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Weidner; daughters, Gina (Steve) Guinn and Stacey Burk; son, Jason (Tammy) Weidner; loving daughter-in-law, Maria Weidner; daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Magdich Kukla; son, Aaron (Tina) Magdich; former wife and mother of his children, Judy Weidner; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews; special aunt and uncle, Marion and Shirley Mitan; our many special families and friends for which we are grateful for; and his golf cart buddy "Bugsy".
A visitation will be held for Verlin on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 3:00pm -7:00pm at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
A Celebration of Life Gathering to honor Verlin's life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 1:00pm - 5:00pm, at the Quail Club, 8303 Concordia Church Road, Belleville, Illinois 62223.
