

Wanda worked for Scott Air Force Base and NASA in Mississippi as a secretary for the Navy. She was an avid reader, card player and loved sports of all kind including the Cardinals and the Duke Blue Devils
She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Allie, nee Hammonds, Bohannon; four brothers, Leonard (Verna) Bohannon, Lyman (Gladys) Bohannon, Raymond (Lorraine) Bohannon and Johnny Bohannon and three sisters, Claudie (Kay) Riggs and Bernice Delashmit and Mary Schubert and two brother-in-laws, William Rife and Ernie Keith.
Surviving are her loving husband of 62 years, Ernest E. Parker of Freeburg, Ill., whom she married on November 7, 1949; her three children, Danny (Lani) Parker of Freeburg, Ill., Nancy (Gary) Strittmatter of Erie, Pennsylvania and Steven (Julie) Parker of Baton Rouge, LA., Grandchidlren, Kelly (Tom) Garreis, Angela (Justice) Littlejohn, Jennifer, Daniel and Susan Parker, Robert Brown, Kristen, Joshua, Jeffrey and Jacob Parker; and three great-grandchildren, Abigail & Noah Garreis and Ryder Littlejohn; two sisters, Clarice Rife of Mocksville, NC., and Wilma Jean (Keith) of Richmond, IN., a sister-in-law, Nedra Bohannon of Lake Charles, LA., and two brother-in-laws, George Delashmit of Burbon, Mo., and Gene Schubert of New Baden, Ill., and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Lake View Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Delashmit officiating. Interment will be held privately in Lake View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
