

Wayne also known as “Smokey” to his family and friends had a vivid personality and was loved by all that knew him. He was a very proud man that possessed a hard work ethic. He worked as a laborer for over 40 years at the Roesch Inc, manufacturing company until his retirement. Wayne was also a life time member of the St Clair County Farmer Bureau and the Boilersmaker Union Local 185. He was a man of faith and instilled those values into his family. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by both parents; Aloys and Gertrude, nee Cartner, Roth; his brother, Don Roth; his sisters, Dorothy Fruedenberg and Carol Cunningham and a brother in law, Bill Cunningham.
Surviving him are his loving wife of 39 years, Lorene Roth, of O’Fallon, Illinois; his children; David J. (Crystal) Roth, of Belleville, Illinois, Wayne G. Roth Jr., of Belleville, Illinois, Robyn (Gary) Peryyman, of New Baden, Illinois, and Tammy (Bill) Cheseldine, of Belleville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Nicole (Curtis) Martindale, Joshua Roth, Cortney (Matt Grennell) Perryman, Allison Perryman, Greg (Renee) Muehlfield, and Eric (Lynda) Muehlfield; his great grandchildren, CJ, Kayla, Daniel, Asher and Zaria; his brother Larry (Brenda) Roth; a brother in law, Wayne Frudenberg; a sister in law, Mary Roth and a number of dear relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10 am to 12 pm, Friday, February 17, 2017 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Funeral Service: All services will be held immediately following the visitation at 12 pm, Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Burial will take place in Lake View Memorial Gardens.
