Carol, it’s so hard to believe we’ve been missing you for 10 years. Missed by each of us are your infectious laughter and smile, your generosity, kind words of support and encouragement, enthusiasm for life, insight and wisdom about life, your obvious love of your family (both the big and the small ones), your holiday cheer and consistent search of a good time. We miss your warmth and your acceptance of everybody, your Cajun cooking and how you were the family glue that bound us ..and so much more. When my daughter in law and son moved next door to Carol and Larry, Carol was the first person to welcome them into their neighborhood!  Along with Larry, Carol wrapped them in kindness.  My family and I feel very fortunate to have known Carol and to know Larry. God has another dear person in heaven.

I was sorry to learn of Carol's passing. The photo tribute was beautiful! I have many fond memories growing up around Bruce Road. My thoughts are with you all during this time.

What I will remember most about Carol is her smile that made her eyes crinkle up- she always had a smile and a laugh! I remember all the democratic fundraisers that we helped with, Carol making roux for Gumbo, telling us about crawfish boils and life in New Orleans.  The goodbye party for the VW bug in the backyard with a keg in the hatchback... so many good memories growing up with Tricia and spending time with her family.  Carol was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.  Carol, may your eternity be a never-ending MardiGras filled with color, fun and laughter...

Thanks to the family for sharing your Mom's, grandma's, wife's and, sister's time and talent.  She was a real believer in our political system and always provided a key backbone for the campaigns she cared about. We will miss her.

Not sure I can put into words what Carol has meant to me over my lifetime.  She has been a second Mom to me and in helping raise me she has influenced my life in so many positive ways.  Her love and guidance is a part of me always.  I was very blessed to have her touch my life in so many ways.  In loving memory my thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.  Love Stevie
