Ms.Giddings I Remember When everytime i got in trouble in 6th grade i would come talk to you. I'm sorry for  your lost.

We all remember her as a lovely lady with a great smile.I loved her when she was my teacher.

I'm so sorry for your lost and MS.giddings was such a good teacher nd she pushed me to do my best nd i loved her for that and i wish you all the best . Ms.giddings was my 4 grade teacher at Charles eliot and she's in my prayers nd i wish you all the best .

Mrs. Giddings should be remembered as an urban educator who truly cared about children. She and I talked at length on so many days after school about all that the children needed and what she was doing to try in order to help. She truly had the "do whatever it takes" attitude in terms of helping the children to learn the skills needed to be successful.  She was a lifelong learner who sought out new methods to try if the same old ways didn't work. CMSD is losing a gem of a teacher with a heart of gold.  I am deeply saddened to hear about her passing because I know how much she loved being with her family. Our talks were always about Eliot's children and her family. When she talked about her husband, children, and the dogs - her eyes lit up even more. I pray for her family's continued strength during this difficult time. I am happy to say that I worked with, learned from, and enjoyed the warm, funny spirit of Cathy Giddings.  I know when God took your hand, He said, "Well done, Cathy. Well done."

My name is Arlyss Jones and I was a student of Mrs Giddings at Charles Elliot in the 4th grade, I am now going to the 7th this year. Mrs Giddings was one of my favorite teachers but to me she wasn't just a teacher, she was a mother, a wife, and grandmother. I remember when she would let me come to her class even though I was no longer her student, she would make us sloppy joes and give us stuff. She would also let me help her students with math, which I loved. But my favorite moment with her was when she first became a grandmother. She told me how happy she was and I will never forget that, and I will never forget her. We have lost a wonderful woman RIP Mrs Giddings you will be truly missed.

I was so sorry to learn of Cathy's passing. She was a wonderful woman that I've known since I was just a child. I know that she's influenced countless young lives for the better as an educator. Scott and their kids are in my thoughts.

My deepest condolences to the family of Catherine Giddings.  Recently, I had the pleasure to acknowledge her for the wonderful job she was doing at Eliot. She will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Ms. Giddings for all her years at Charles W. Eliot School in Cleveland. She was my colleague and I am simply the more for having known her and having tried to follow her focus on achieving the very best for CWE students. It is those students who have also now lost out on their opportunity to grow under the direction of really a master teacher  she cannot be replaced! I will miss her next year as I walk past her room and teach what would have been her students. 

My thoughts and prayers are with all her family at this time and I hope these messages of tribute will help during this difficult period.

My deepest condolences to the family.  Cathy was a great teacher and friend. I had the pleasure of working with her at Eliot. She always had a smile, loved her students and  was willing to do whatever you asked of her. She will be greatly missed.

To Scott and the girls, I am so very sorry about the passing of Cathy. We became friends on our first day at Charles W. Eliot. We taught together, ate together, and even shared a room together for a year. I will always remember my friend. God bless your family.

As next-door neighbors we have been sharing our lives with Kathy and Scott for longer than I can remember. We've seen the girls grow from toddlers to become loving adults, using Kathy as their model. She has been the rock in their lives, someone they could always turn to in times of need or distress. We'll remember Kathy as an honest, hardworking, caring, and loving person, and it just breaks our heart to see such a beautiful life come to such an early end. Too soon, we have lost a wonderful person and good friend. We give all our love to Scott, Tricia, Crystal, Jess, and Ali, and pray they can take strength in the goodness Kathy has left behind.

We are very sorry for your loss. Cathy was a very good person and a great teacher. CMSD lost a very valuable asset. May God bless and comfort you and your family.

To Cathy's Family: I am so very sorry for your loss. I had the great privilege to work with her for the last five years. Cathy was a tremendous teacher; warm, caring, DEDICATED, witty, and tireless in her desire to educate her kids at Eliot. Cathy was a friend to count on and true professional in all that she did.
