To the Laffay Family;

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Dr. Laffay at Hillcrest.  He was a great man, a wonderful doctor and a compassionate and caring human being.  He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our sincerest condolences to the entire Laffay family.  The few meetings I had with Dr. Laffay left me with strong impressions of a generous, benevolent patriarch.  My only regret is that he didn't have time to write a book on how to raise a son.  I know I would have bought it.

Kathy, I was so sad to read about Dennis today and I am thinking of you during this difficult time.  Your friends and family will be there to support you and will be your strength.  Count me in on that list of helpers when you need someone to talk to, I will be here.

Your wife is often described as the glue, but you were the backbone.  Thank you for teaching my husband to be a great man, you created a legacy in your children. I already miss watching basketball with you.

I was a classmate of Dennis at Ignatius and John Carroll.  He was a wonderful classmate, good friend and a role model.  I'm sorry I had not seen him in recent years.  He will be missed by all of us who knew him.  My condolences to his family. I will always remember him fondly.

I haven't in you in over 40 years, but will never forget what a great guy you were at Ignatius.  A dedicated athlete, a talented student, but most importantly, a nice guy! I'm sure you were an outstanding doctor. God will bless you I'm sure.

The memory of our dinners in Charleston will be long lasting, Dr. Laffay will be dearly missed.   Rest in peace.

Denny and Dave Gagan and I made a few road trips to the Gulf Coast after we graduated from high school.  I have fond memories of those long ago trips.   Rest in peace, Dr. Laffay.  You are remembered.
