Holly Dee Adkins

Born and raised in Bay Village, Ohio, Holly built a life centered on love, kindness, family, and caring for others. To those closest to her, she was known simply as Holly, Mom, and Grandma — titles she carried with endless pride and devotion.

Holly shared 44 wonderful years with her soulmate and husband, Rick. Together they built a family that was the center of her world. She is lovingly remembered by her children Brandy, Gabrielle, and Aaron; her daughter-in-law Meredith; son-in-law Seth; future Son in Law Jared and her cherished grandchildren Kylan, Harper, Jayden, Charlotte, and Cora. She is also survived by her brother Ken.

Holly had a gift for making people feel welcomed, cared for, and loved. She was empathetic, patient, generous, and strong, with a wonderful sense of humor that brought comfort and joy to everyone who knew her. She found happiness in life’s simple and beautiful moments — Friday Martini nights, time spent at the beach, sewing, feeding her birds, caring for her beloved dogs and cats.

More than anything Holly was devoted to her family. It was rare more than a week went by without her gathering the family for significant occasions or impromptu dinners. She took every opportunity to be there for her grandchildren whether cheering on the sidelines or cuddling on the couch to give mom and dad a few minutes.

Her love was steady, unconditional, and present in every part of her life. The warmth she gave to others will continue to live on in the people who knew and loved her. If I heard it once I heard said 100 times, there is a person walking with the lord, her devotion to loving others well and empathy was a gift to make people comfortable, safe and understood.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Holly and the extraordinary love she shared with so many.
