They were not only our parents, but our greatest teachers. Everything we know about love, kindness, and resilience came from watching the way they lived — side by side, always putting family first, always believing in the good in others.
Donald was known for a quiet brilliance and a quick wit; he knew a little about everything and could make anyone laugh without even trying. While Everywhere Maria went, light followed; her smile was a spark, and her kindness a glow that lingered. Together, they created a home where love was constant, and lessons were taught not just through words, but through example.
They were not only incredible parents, but remarkable teachers — in every sense of the word. In their classrooms and in our home, they nurtured curiosity, compassion, and confidence. They believed that education was not just about lessons and grades, but about helping others discover who they are and what they can give to the world.
They showed us how to work hard, how to forgive, how to dream big — and above all, how to love without condition. Their legacy lives on in every person they touched: family, friends, students, neighbors, and all who found comfort in their presence.
They are survived by their four kids: Noah, Diego, Lucia, and Leo Nunney, who will continue to honor them by living out the values they instilled.
A celebration of life will be held on Nov. 11th at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd, 44126 at 3-6pm. Friends and loved ones are invited to share stories and memories that keep their spirits alive.
Though our hearts ache with their absence, we take comfort in knowing that their love continues — in every lesson they taught us, and in every act of kindness that carries their memory forward.
