Nancy E Thorne

Nancy E. Thorne, age 88, of Fairview Park, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026. She was born in Cleveland to the late Anton and Helen Peto and remained closely connected to the community throughout her life.

Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Charles Thorne, with whom she shared many years of marriage. She was a devoted and loving mother to Janice Thorne (Richard Jenulis) and a dear sister to Geraldine “Geri” Petelin (Emil, deceased).

She dedicated 50 years of her professional life as a legal secretary with Benesch & Friedlander Law Firm, where she was known for her reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail. In addition to her long career, she also worked part-time as a realtor, enjoying the opportunity to assist others in finding homes.

Nancy enjoyed staying active and engaged in her community. She spent many enjoyable hours bowling and playing bingo with friends, and she was an avid reader who appreciated quiet time with a good book. She was also a faithful member of St. Angela’s Catholic Church, where she found comfort and community.

Nancy will be remembered for her steady presence, her strong work ethic, and the care she showed to her family and those around her.
