ROSEMARY SICKING (nee Paskert) 94, passed gently away in her own home in Fairview Park on Sunday, September 9, 2012. She was born in Cleveland, OH on June 18, 1918, to Mary Ellen Veronica Paskert and Joseph Reiner Paskert. The beloved wife of the late Robert C. Sicking, she was also the dear mother of Robert Joseph, (from whom she received devoted care for four years), Elaine Marie (husband, Frank), and James (wife, Denise), and the proud grandmother of Anthony, Kate, Matthew Gritti and Zach Sicking. Rosemary was a dearly loved sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, friend and neighbor. She was preceded in death by cherished siblings Kay, Rita, Joseph, Robert, Charles, and Jim. Rosemary is survived by beloved sister, Ruth. Rosemary was a devoted wife to Robert, a W.W.II veteran, for 43 years. Prior to her marriage, she worked in the accounting department of White Motors for more than 10 years. In high school, she attended St. Stephen's, and then transferred to West High to help take care of her ailing mother. Rosemary had an ever youthful spirit and a sharp sense of humor. She loved to socialize and tell stories about her girlish escapades. Some of her favorite tales include time spent at a family cottage built by her fire chief father and his associates at Chippewa Lake Park. Dancing and the music of her era were two of her greatest joys, and as a teen, she danced the night away to the big bands at the Chippewa Lake Grand Ballroom. Rosemary was also a devout Catholic and a member of St. Angela Merici Church in Fairview Park for more than 50 years.
