Armand W. Rioux

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Omer A. and Irene A. (Michaud) Rioux, he was a lifelong resident of the city and Westport, having served in the United States Army from 1954-1957.

A Transportation Manager and Purchasing Agent for many years, he worked at various area companies including Advanced Looseleaf Technologies, retiring in 1998.

A member and Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Father Boehr Council #4753 of Tiverton, he was an avid Boston Red Sox and Patriots fan.

Surviving: three daughters: Michelle P. Desrochers and husband Marc of Tiverton, Suzanne D. Cordeira and husband Arthur of New Bedford and Jeanne B. Gagne and husband David of Westport, two granddaughters - “his babies”- Sara N. and Kathryn J. Dupere, a brother: Roger G. Rioux of Austin, TX and a sister: Pauline D. Laliberte of Swansea and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 at 8:30 AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter Street, Fall River with a funeral mass at 9:30 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Parish of Holy Cross Church, 47 Pulaski Street, Fall River. Visiting hours Thursday 4pm to 7PM. Contributions in his honor may be made to Southcoast Hospice and Palliative Care, 200 Mill Road, Fairhaven, MA 02719. Burial in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
