Born in Fall River and grew up in Somerset, she was the daughter of the late Roger D. and Lorraine M. (Lavoie) Gagne.
Carol worked at BayCoast Bank in Swansea as a Senior Accounting Associate where she also held the title of longest employee, beginning her career over 47 years ago. She was a true foodie, her favorite of all time being lobster. Her greatest achievement in life were her son and grandchildren who truly were the center of her world.
Besides her beloved husband, Carol is survived by one son, Michael D. Power II of Wareham; three grandchildren, Jordan, Theo and Aoife Power; one brother, Alan R. Gagne of Austin, TX; one sister, Paula Little of New Bedford; mother-in-law, Jean Power of Fall River; sister-in-law Kathleen Madras of Fall River, several nieces and nephews as well as the many friends she thought of as family. She was the sister-in-law of the late Kristan Gagne and Charles Little.
Carol was a true warrior, and fought hard through 5 rounds of cancer in over 5 years to spend more time with her friends and family and see her grandchildren grow.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 9:00 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Donations in Carol’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
