Born in Fall River, a son of Evelyn P. (Rogers) Swenson of Fall River and the late Ernest A. Swenson, he was a lifelong area resident. He attended B.M.C. Durfee High School and was employed as a driver at Paquette’s Auto Parts before retiring several years ago.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, two sons; Jason Swenson of New Bedford and Robert Lavoie of Rehoboth, one daughter; Amy Berard of Fall River, three brothers; Karl and Wayne Swenson both of Fall River and Ernest Swenson of Texas, one sister; Phyllis Swenson of Fall River, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Earl and Michael Swenson. He also was the son-in-law of the late Olga (Rapoza) Freitas.
