Born in Newport, a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Drew) Lyons, she lived in Newport before moving to Fall River in 1965.
A graduate of Rogers High School, she worked as a Clerk at the former Newport National Bank for many years before retiring in 1982. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Fall River.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was sister of the late Robert and John Lyons and Mary Dufault.
Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 8:30AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Visiting hours prior to her Mass from 8:30 to 9:30AM in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions in her honor may be made to the Swansea Animal Shelter, 68 Stevens Rd., Swansea, MA 02777. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
