Elizabeth Hand O'Hearn

Born in Lurgan, County Armagh, Northern Ireland, a daughter of the late William John and Sarah (Geary) Hand, she came to the United States in 1947 settling in Fall River.

In addition to being a homemaker, she loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Shaun O’Hearn and his late wife “Betsey” of Swansea, James P. O’Hearn Jr. and his wife Donna of Fall River, one daughter Jane O’Hearn of Fall River, five grandchildren Shaun O’ Hearn, Kelly Murphy, Jordie West, Brigit and Ryan O’Hearn. Six great grandchildren Rowan West, Shaun and Meghan O’Hearn, Seamus, Rory, and Bridie Murphy, and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by one living sister Kathleen McConaghy and the late John William, Mary, Ginny, Margaret, Hanah, Bridie, and Elish.

Her Funeral will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 8:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE,178 Winter St., Fall River followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM in Sacred Heart Church, Linden St., Fall River. Visiting hours Friday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to the City of Hope, 1500 East Duarte Rd., Duarte, CA 91010 or Salvation Army, P.O. Box 444, Fall River, MA 02722. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
