

Born in Swansea, a daughter of the late Earl and Edith (Armitage) Simcock, she spent her youth in Swansea prior to moving to Fall River.
Upon graduation from Joseph Case High School in 1949, she attended an area business school. Her greatest joy in life was her family, she loved being at home and raising her children. A communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church, she was the recipient of the Marian Medal in 1984 awarded to her by Bishop Cronin. Quite talented in patch work and sewing, she enjoyed making quilts. She was a lifetime member of the Swansea Quilt Club.
She is survived by two sons, John “Jack” Burke and his wife Dawn of Swansea, James P. Burke and his girlfriend Leanne Noonan of Fall River; two grandchildren, Matthew Burke, Holly Campbell and her husband Rohan, one great-granddaughter Ivy Campbell and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Thomas Burke and the sister of the late George and Bruce Simcock.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 10:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Visitation will be held prior to her service from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
