Helen A. (Leary) McGuire, age 94, formerly of Heatley Place, Fall River, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the wife of the late James W. McGuire and companion of the late Walter Hadala.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Peter and Ellen (Farrell) Leary, she was a lifelong resident of the city.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1938, she worked as a secretary for Sperry and Hutchinson for many years. A communicant of the former St. Patrick’s Church now Good Shepherd Parish, she loved to sing and dance.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anna B., Daniel F., and Peter E. Leary, Mary L. Kiely, and Mildred E. Sullivan.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:30AM in the Solarium at the Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River followed by the Liturgy of the Word at 9:30AM in the St. Margaret Mary Chapel at Catholic Memorial Home.
