Born in Fall River, the son of the late Arthur J. and Mary B. (Nestor) Doucet, he has been a lifelong resident of the city. He was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School class of 1951, a 1955 graduate of Bradford Durfee Tech, now UMASS Dartmouth and a United States Army Veteran.
Mr. Doucet was employed as a Mechanical Engineer for over 35 years with the Naval Underwater Systems Center in Newport. He was a communicant of the former St. William’s Church and Holy Trinity Church. James enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking and was an avid wildlife photographer.
He is survived by his brother Gerald J. Doucet and his sister Mary A. Doucet both of Fall River.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 9am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by his funeral mass at 10am in Holy Trinity Church 951 Stafford Rd., Fall River.
