Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late William and Ann F. (Kelman) Atkinson, she was a lifelong resident of the city and was a homemaker who enjoyed cookouts and spending time with her family.
She is survived by four children; George S. St. Pierre and his wife Ann of Tiverton, Roger A. Gosselin of Fall River, Wendy L. Brady of Portsmouth and Dawn M. Slattery and her husband James F. of Fall River; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Donna St. Pierre-Costello and Suzanna Sanchez Avarado and sister of the late William and Carl Atkinson.
Her funeral will be held Monday, November 21, 2011 at 8am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St. Fall River with a funeral mass at 9am in Good Shepherd Parish, 1598 South Main St. Fall River.
