Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm D. and Elizabeth C. (Boshall) Woodward.
Janice was a member of the Melody Club and the National Foundation for the Blind. She volunteered for the Boys and Girls Club bingo events and enjoyed knitting, crochet, reading and jig saw puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice M. Mello and her husband Thomas of Fall River and Elizabeth C. McCarthy and her husband Peter of Assonet; three grandchildren, Pamela McCarthy, Joshua Mello and Wendy Bellavance; three great grandchildren, Ethan Mello, Avery Smith and Finley Smith as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Eleanor Bollin, Evelyn Woodward-Landry and Malcolm D. Woodward, Jr.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Spring Street, Fall River. Burial in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be prior to the mass from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River.
