Jeanne A. Silvia

Jeanne A. (Rapoza) Silvia, age 75, of Fall River, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late John M. Silvia, Sr., with whom she shared many years of love and partnership.

Born and raised in Fall River, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Daniel F. and Claire (Lebeau) Rapoza. She earned her associate degree in pre-professional studies from Bristol Community College and went on to dedicate more than 30 years to the Fall River School Department, where she worked as a teacher’s assistant.

Jeanne found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved crocheting, tending to her garden, and spending quiet moments birdwatching. Above all else, Jeanne’s greatest happiness came from time spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Karen A. Chaisson and Jennifer L. Silvia, both of Fall River; her cherished grandchildren, Sara A. Miguel, Wilfredo Valle, and John Chaisson, all of Fall River; and her great-grandson, Aaron Miguel. She also leaves her sisters, Michelle Arpa of Fall River and Sharlean Vieira of Beverly, MA, along with several loving nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mark and Daniel Rapoza.
