

Jeffrey M. Nelson Esq., age 73, of Fall River, MA, formerly of Washington, DC, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 in Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Jane Doran Nelson to whom he had been married for 10 years.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Clifford and Mary (Brady) Nelson, his family moved to Maryland when he was two years old. He was a graduate of Arch Bishop Carroll High School in Washington, DC, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown University and went on to earn his Law Degree from American University.
Mr. Nelson was employed as an Attorney with the Internal Revenue Service for 25 years in their Washington, DC office until his retirement in 1999. He was an avid baseball player and fan. He helped coach several baseball teams and loved his Dodgers.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four siblings: John Nelson of Washington, DC, James Nelson of Chevy Chase, MD, Marybeth Nelson of Bethesda, MD and Kathy Folger of Charleston, SC; a step-son Matthew Salomon of Frederick, MD; a step-daughter Amanda Knowlton of Boston, MA and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 10am in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place 178 Winter St., Fall River, MA. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7pm. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
