Born in Fall River a daughter of the late John and Jane (Kenyon) O’Brien she had resided in Colorado, Minnesota and Wisconsin before returning home to Fall River.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1973 she attended courses at the former Southeastern Massachusetts University, now University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. An Emergency Room Dispatcher she worked in Colorado Springs for 20 years as well as for a Medical Group in Minnesota as an appointment coordinator.
An old hippie at heart, she was very intelligent and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved Third Beach and adored animals, especially the Snowy Owls at the Wildlife Refuge in Newport, RI. Even through her illness, she kept her humor and positive attitude and would lift the spirits of those around her without fail. Her family was most important to her and worked hard to keep everyone connected.
She is survived by one sister, Catherine O’Brien; four cousins, Deborah Dunning, Susan Walter, and Vernon and Everett Horrocks and many other cousins, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Timothy O’Brien and Brian O’Brien.
