Louise Ashworth Cummings

Cummings, Louise Ashworth passed away peacefully on Friday November 25, 2011 at Adams House, Fall River, MA. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph William Cummings, Jr. in 2002. Mrs. Cummings is survived by her sons, J. William Cummings III and his wife Vickie of Rhode Island, and George A. Cummings and his wife Veronica of Maryland, four grandchildren: Christine, Kimberly, Benjamin and Catherine: and her brother Henry Ashworth and sister- in- law Susan of Westport, Massachusetts.

Louise, born in Fall River, was a graduate of Emma Willard School and Bradford Junior College. She and her husband resided for almost 20 years each in Saco, Maine and Darien, CT. where they raised their family. Upon retirement, Louise and Joe spent time in Bristol, Rhode Island and summers in Westport Harbor. She enjoyed world travel with her husband throughout their 52 year marriage and most especially enjoyed annual retreats to The Reefs in Bermuda and Coco Point in Barbuda, West Indies.

Visitation will be held at the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place 178 Winter St. Fall River on Monday, November 28, from 5-7PM. A funeral service will take place in the Church of the Holy Spirit, 160 Rock St. Fall River on Tuesday November 29th at 10AM.
