

Nancy M. Correia (Arruda), beloved mother and adoring Vavó, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the age of 55 after bravely battling an aggressive form of cancer. She died peacefully at home, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.
She was the wife of the late Paul G. Correia.
Born in Fall River, MA, Nancy was the devoted daughter of the late Antonio M. Arruda and Maria Fatima Arruda of Westport, MA.
Nancy lived in Fall River before settling in Tiverton, RI. A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, she worked as a grant accountant for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for many years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, whom she adored. Of all her roles in life, Vavó was the one she treasured most.
Known for her ability to fill every room with laughter and warmth, Nancy also embodied remarkable inner strength. She faced life’s challenges with unwavering courage and approached her illness with a fighter’s spirit that inspired all who knew her. Her resilience, grace, and determination never faltered, remaining steadfast throughout her journey.
Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Shparber and his team at Southcoast Oncology for the care and compassion they provided over the past six years.
She is survived by her loving children, Cliff Correia of Tiverton, and Megan Marden and her husband, Craig, of Tiverton; her cherished grandchildren, Brayden Chaunt and Gabriela Marden; her brother, Michael Arruda and his wife, Renee, of Swansea; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by her service at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, laughter, and unwavering strength.
