Pamela Lillian (Riley) Gonsalves, age 75, of Fall River, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at St. Anne’s Hospital. Born and raised in Fall River, she was the beloved daughter of the late Horace C. and Angelina J. L. (Delgado) Riley.
Pamela was a proud graduate of B. M. C. Durfee High School, Class of 1967, and furthered her education at Bristol Community College. She dedicated many years of her career as a contact representative for the Social Security Administration before retiring.
Her passion for community service was evident through her volunteer work at St. Anne’s Hospital and various local soup kitchens. Pamela was an enthusiastic bowler, participating in leagues in Somerset and Westport on Wednesday nights. A member of the Fall River YMCA, she cherished cruising, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Leon Gonsalves and his wife Lisa of Salem, OR and Anthony James Gonsalves and his wife Cheryl of North Dartmouth; her brother, Wayne Horace Riley of Fall River; her former husband, Robert Gonsalves of Fall River; her niece, Angelina Zuri Riley; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Her funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 9:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Funeral Home, 178 Winter Street, Fall River, followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
