Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Alessandro and Maria (Ciarlone) Sbardella. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1941, he was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Force having served during WWII in the Pacific. He worked as a Meter Reader for the City of Fall River for many years before his retirement in 1985 and was a skilled carpenter who did expert finish work.
Mr. Sbardella was a member of the Sons of Italy. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Sbardella and his wife Carla of Fall River and Jeffrey Sbardella and his wife Kathleen of Norton; one sister, Anna Como of Fall River; three grandchildren, Alexis Sbardella, Katie Faria and her husband Andrew and Nicholas Sbardella and his wife Taryn; eight great-grandchildren, Braelyn, Blake, Charleigh, Matthew and Kasin Sbardella and Samantha, Emma and Thomas Faria and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Nancy Sbardella.
Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, his Funeral will be private. Contributions in his honor may be made to the Sons of Italy, 54 Chavenson St, Fall River, MA 02723.
