Born in Fall River, a son of the late Joseph and Lydia (Zimbro) Costa, he was a resident in Somerset for many years.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1960, he was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was the owner and operator of Regal Auto, the Somerset Aluminum Center, the Dairy Delight Ice Cream Parlor, and the Wagon Wheel Restaurant all in Somerset.
Mr. Costa was a member of the Somerset Lions Club. He enjoyed singing Karaoke, going to Flea Markets and taking trips to Foxwoods Resort and Casino.
He is survived by one daughter, Jo-Anne Golden and her husband Patrick of Tiverton, RI; one son, Michael R. Costa and his partner Melissa of Westport, MA; two grandchildren, Julie Anne Cross and Connor Evan Golden; one great-grandson, Lyle Cross Gagne and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Cheryl L. Costa and brother of the late Joseph Costa.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 9:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River followed by burial with military honors in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:15AM.
