

Robert L. “Bob” Dupere, age 84, passed away peacefully Friday, July 28, 2023 at his home comforted by family. He was the husband of the late Jacqueline (Belanger) Dupere and former husband of the late Roberta (Brown) Dupere.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Albert and Loretta (Autote) Dupere he was a longtime resident of the city.
A graduate of the former Monsignor Prevost High School in Fall River, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Johnson & Wales University. A proud veteran of the United State Air Force, he served four years during the Vietnam era. A skilled technician, he was a Radar Technician for Roosevelt Roads Air Force Base in Puerto Rico and then an Electronics Technician for the Newport Naval Base; a career spanning 50 years before his retirement in 1994.
An avid reader, he enjoyed crime and mystery novels. Bob delighted in a trip to Disney World, going to the beach, playing cards and finding the local ice cream shop. A “Jack of all trades” who enjoyed helping people out, he could build what you needed and do your taxes. A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be remembered as loyal, kind and generous.
He is survived by two sons, Albert “Al” Dupere and his partner Raquel Pellerin and Daniel Dupere and his wife Danielle, all of Fall River; three step-daughters, Cherri Simoes and her husband Paul, Lori Ploude and her husband Al and Sandi Hellkamp and her husband Greg; two sisters, Lorraine DeMello and Jennette O’neil; twelve grandchildren, Allison Dupere, Zachary Dupere, Sara Vieira, Nathaniel Dupere, Katie Dupere, Kristie Carlson, Joel Harrington, Mandi Medeiros, Bryan Hellkamp, Rochelle Simas, Brandi Sampson and Brittany Kulpa; nineteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Chloe. He was the father of the late Deborah Dupere and Deanna Dupere, stepfather of the late Tammy Kulpa, great-grandfather of the late Nolan Carlson and brother of the late Bertha Turgeon, Roger Dupere, Roland Dupere and Paul Dupere.
His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River. Visiting hours are Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his honor may be made to Rosemary’s Wish Kids, 161 Furey Avenue, Tiverton, RI 02878. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
