

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late James and Lillian (Golden) Dunn, she spent her youth in the city, lived in Swansea for 7 years and Somerset for 41 years, returning to Fall River in 2005. She was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1939.
A homemaker, Mrs. Britto had also worked at the former Firestone Tire and Rubber Company during World War II and later as a secretary. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Church while living in Somerset, the Parish of the Good Shepherd while in Fall River and was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Surviving in addition to her husband: daughter: Barbara Britto, son: David F. Britto, Jr. both of Fall River, sister: Evelyn Mahon of Somerset, many nieces and nephews and her “grand dog”: Charlotte. She was mother of the late Ruth Britto Kappes and sister of the late John, James, George, Henry and Everette Dunn, Edith Goncalo, Lillian Varanese and Eileen Fusaro.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 11AM in Adams House, 1168 Highland Ave. Fall River, MA 02720. Visiting hours Monday 3-5PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St. Fall River. Flowers welcome or contributions in her honor may be made Adams House. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
