Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Andrew and Victoria (Uram) Smyka, she spent her youth in Fall River. She also lived in New York for ten years and Jacksonville, Florida for over 50 years before returning to Fall River in 2004.
She worked in the fashion industry as a stylist for many years both in New York and Florida. A member of the Blue Cypress Golf Club in Jacksonville, she was an avid golfer winning several trophies and shot a hole in one.
She is survived by one sister; Stella Hebda of Tiverton, several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Alice Levesque and Joseph Smyka.
