Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late William and Ozite (Perron) Salois, she had been a lifelong resident of the city
Mrs. Rioux worked as a Sample girl in the sewing industry for the former Franconia Sportswear in Fall River. A longtime communicant of Holy Trinity Church formerly St. Jean the Baptist Church where she was a member of the Women’s Guild and was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by one son: Paul Rioux of Tiverton, one daughter; Claudette Courville and her husband William of Somerset, daughter-in-law Elena Rioux of Fall River, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Roger Rioux, sister of the late Ida Gagne and Aura Lizzotte, mother in law of the late Linda Rioux and friend of the late Manuel Souza.
Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 9:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Road, Fall River. Visiting hours Monday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
